Located in High Point, N.C., considered by many as the “Furniture Capital of the World”.  The International Home Furnishings Market meets here twice a year where manufacturers show off their latest designs and dealers place orders. High Point’s furniture industry has been a major player in the state’s economy for over a hundred years.  Early industrial entrepreneurs and developers focused on the Piedmont section of North Carolina, especially the city of High Point.  The High Point area was extremely well-suited for the furniture industry because of the abundant wood supply from numerous hardwood forests, above-average railway and highway transportation benefits, and the availability of an abundant labor force.  The city has grown over the years because of this industry and has also become a great area to move to for a lifetime job opportunity.  The “South” has great people who seemed laid back, but hard work is the norm for this community.  Crime rates are extremely low, shopping is abundant, and home prices are very competitive thus making High Point one of the great communities to live and work.
